Full Open World

Hello, I am "Dr FLoyd",  French Admnistrator of Gamopat-Forum (retrogaming forum in France). 

I started this new project about a year ago, after creating some prototypes for PC and Atari ST (available on itch.io) in the past. So, it's a tribute to Elite (David Braben) for the open world, Ultima (Richard Garriott) for the look, and Sundog (Bruce Webster) for the story, in a full open galaxy, with only tiles 16x16 pixels !

Explore the entire galaxy, among 300 billion stars. Total open world: everything is explorable, all planets, planetary surfaces, habitats, cities, caves, temples, asteroid fields, the ocean floor, etc.

The game is currently in development, and I will keep you updated on its progress. Hope to offer you a first demo WIP in a few months. But please note that it is not possible to offer you a real playable version because is it open world.

INTRODUCTION

Billions of galaxies, billions of stars in each
of these galaxies, and planets around most of the
stars, including Acriel, a dusty place place where
I've always lived, annex of Nova, capital of the
Hegemony in the Solaris system..

Where do we come from? What is the purpose of
the universe? What a strange thing the world is!

My father, Heywood Cooper, was a space merchant,
inheriting the ship from grandfather Cyrius, Lord
in his day, lacerely murdered by the Hegemony.

When Mother died, Father entrusted me to Uncle
Vetea. He was often absent, sailing around
Solaris and surely far beyond, becoming a space
archaeologist, his true passion. But an outlaw.

Father disappeared 10 Sols ago, leaving the Cosmos
in Vetea's barn. No one knows what happened to him,
or even if he's still alive somewhere in the
universe. Uncle thinks he had a secret he was
looking for proof of.

The recent surprise attack on Nova by unknown ships
has mad the people quite nervous. The elders speak
of demons coming to punish mankind, an old
prophecy...

Perhaps one day I'll leave this world as Father and
travel the universe to unravel its mysteries...
